Week 1
I believe that weather is the most representative of the passage of time, so I recorded the scenery of a day from morning to evening and chose to use elements such as pedestrians and elderly people to represent the passage of time

week 2
This week, I recorded the pedestrians on the road in the evening and their state when they finished work
Week 3
This course introduces the concept of digital synthesis and the Nuke software interface, including reviewing previous assignments, VFX processes, and the role of digital synthesizers. It explains the differences between After Effects, Fusion, and Nuke, basic Nuke operations, material imports, and project settings, and focuses on the node system and practical exercises for creating VFX sequences.
week 5
In Nuke, it is necessary to manually classify and mask the target in order to capture such irregular shape changes. Taking this diagram as an example, people can generally be divided into four rotation nodes, namely head, body, legs, and hands. Then refine each part, for example, the arm can be divided into the upper arm, forearm, hand, etc. Making separate cushions for each part can ensure maximum quality and controllability. week 7
Using a mobile phone to track roto
week 9
In this lesson, we mainly learned about root drawing nodes, cloning and creating patches through cases and proper 2d cleanup and rig removal workflows.
Balloon Festival
reference & Inspirations
I hope to create a scene under the stars, with buildings and balloons filled with futuristic high-tech elements, highlighting the grandeur of the universe

Garage workout
Initial design

Subsequently, camera tracking was performed on this basis and exported to Houdini for rendering

Then, the effect of particle dissipation on the wall was created through rotopainting and the generated particles

Final
Nuke Workout 3
The goal is to create explosive flames and smoke that occur in a city

The Harvest of Nuke Learning
2nd May –6th June
Over the past several weeks, my studies have focused on advancing my skills in Nuke for visual effects, with an emphasis on creating photorealistic effects and professional broadcast graphics. The learning began with a reinforcement of core compositing principles and node-based workflows, preparing for a large-scale project involving the destruction of urban environments. I then delved into advanced smoke synthesis, mastering techniques such as unpremultiplication for proper alpha handling, normal forging to simulate depth in 2D elements, and efficient node management through text-based workflows. This was followed by an exploration of fire effects, where I learned to incorporate heat distortion and realistic light interaction to enhance the integration of flames into scenes.

Additionally, through specialized tutorials, I addressed critical production challenges such as proper lens distortion handling, significantly improving my technical problem-solving capabilities. The curriculum also introduced AI-powered functionalities within Nuke, particularly focusing on Copycat and other official AI plugins, expanding my toolkit for efficient and innovative compositing. Furthermore, I gained comprehensive knowledge of time remapping, understanding both its underlying principles and practical application methods.

Most recently, I applied these skills to the specific demands of news and television packaging, focusing on creating high-impact, efficient, and production-ready motion graphics. This comprehensive training has significantly deepened my understanding of compositing logic and expanded my ability to execute complex visual ideas from concept to completion.
